Job Description

The School of Business at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) invites applications for the position of Visiting Instructor/Professor of accounting. This is a one-year, non-tenure track, full-time position beginning in the Fall of 2018. There is a possibility of renewing for a second year. 

While the department has flexibility with regard to the courses to be taught, the successful candidate should be open to teaching courses in financial and/or managerial accounting, including introductory and upper-level courses.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in accounting or business administration with a concentration in accounting
  • Candidates holding a master’s degree only, must have prior industry experience in an accounting firm or company, and professional certification such as a CPA or CMA, and,
  • Substantive prior teaching experience, as demonstrated through course evaluations 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • An advanced terminal degree in accounting (Ph.D.) or a closely related field (DBA) from an AACSB accredited school.
